The Digital and Intelligence Service — the SAF's fourth and newest service — faces an unusual challenge: many of its most important roles are invisible. You can watch a tank move or a jet fly; you cannot watch someone defend a network.

For DIS, Finute built a gamified career role simulation that makes those roles tangible. Military expert trainees step into the day-to-day of DIS vocations — experiencing the decisions, tools and tempo of digital defence work through interactive scenarios rather than briefing slides.

Why simulation beats description

Career interest is built on identification: can I see myself doing this? A talk can describe a role; a simulation lets you inhabit it. It is the same principle that powers Mata-verse's recruitment effect for the police — applied to the most abstract, and arguably most future-critical, careers in the SAF.

The project also marked something we're proud of: trust from a fourth uniformed service, joining our work with MINDEF, the SPF and SCDF.
