Scams are among the most damaging harms in Singapore's digital landscape — and the groups hit hardest, youths and seniors, are precisely the ones conventional advisories struggle to reach. Posters and SMS warnings reach the already-vigilant. Everyone else scrolls past.
ScamWISE Squad takes the opposite approach: it embeds the lesson inside a game people choose to play. Developed by Finute and presented by Bamboo Builders under Google.org's US$2 million SG ScamWISE grant, it is Singapore's first gamified anti-scam education platform designed for youth.
Learning by story
Players work through character-driven missions built on real scam case studies from Singapore — phishing, job scams, e-commerce fraud — learning to recognise the psychological tactics scammers use: urgency, authority, too-good-to-be-true rewards. Complete the journey and you become a certified scam-fighting ambassador.

The design principle
We built ScamWISE Squad on the same conviction as all our work: a lesson nobody encounters teaches nothing. The pedagogy is real — but it rides inside gameplay engaging enough that no one has to be made to play it. The initiative aims to equip 100,000 Singaporeans with the skills to defend themselves against scams and online threats.
