Every Singaporean son passes through the Central Manpower Base. It is where the National Service journey begins — and for most pre-enlistees, it is a place they first encounter as a letter, a form, and a building they have never seen.

In October 2025, that changed. As the new CMPB officially opened its doors, its virtual twin landed inside TD@Singverse — announced by MINDEF's Total Defence team with a simple message: "The new CMPB has landed in TD@Singverse!"

A one-stop hub, virtually

The virtual CMPB is an integrated hub where pre-enlistees and National Servicemen can explore the NS journey before living it — walking the actual spaces, discovering what happens at each step, and demystifying a milestone that can feel abstract until the day it isn't. It joins TD@Singverse's wider NS experiences, including gamified Basic Military Training on Pulau Tekong.

Why a virtual twin matters

Familiarity reduces anxiety. A pre-enlistee who has already wandered the CMPB in Singverse — found the entrance, seen the crest, understood the flow — walks into the real building with a mental map instead of a blank page. It is the same principle behind everything we build: let people rehearse reality in a space where the stakes are zero.

The virtual CMPB was launched in conjunction with the official opening of the new CMPB, extending a physical milestone into the platform where the next generation of enlistees already spends its time.
